Mobile HGV Technician required to cover the South Wales region.
  • Starting salary from £18 per hour (negotiable pending experience).
  • Additional standby/callout bonuses and overtime providing an on-target earnings up to £60,000 per annum. 
  • 40 hour week across a 24/7 365 day basis. Shift patterns are discussed further upon inquiry.

Our client, a long-established franchise-approved commercial vehicle dealership in the Caerphilly region, is currently looking to recruit an HGV Technician to work in a mobile capacity across South Wales (CF, NP, and LD postcode regions specifically). 

Reporting to the General Manager, as a Mobile HGV Technician, you will be provided with a fully equipped company van, business fuel allowance, and be responsible for the diagnosis and repair of light and heavy goods vehicles, roadside and out on sites daily across the CF, NP, and LD postcode regions. The successful candidate will initially spend 8-12 weeks in the workshop to begin with, getting to know the diagnostic systems and product, but will then be mobile. 

To be eligible, you will need to be qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, have a current Class 1 HGV driving licence with minimal points, and ideally live within a central location to the region you will be covering. You will have excellent mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic skills, be Health & Safety aware, have good communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and be able to work independently.
