HGV Auto Electrician needed in Billingham:
  • Basic salary c. £35,802.
  • OTE of c. £40,000.
  • 45 hours per week.
  • Overtime available.
  • Our client is seeking applications from experienced Auto Electricians.
  • Opportunity to work for one of the UK’s most reputable commercial vehicle specialists.
Our client, a market leading commercial vehicle business, is seeking an Auto Electrician to join their team in their busy Billingham branch.

What will the successful Auto Electrician do?
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults on HGVs 
  • Install, maintain, and repair vehicle wiring systems and electrical components
  • Work on lighting systems, indicators, and electrical braking systems
  • Service and repair starters, alternators, and battery systems
  • Diagnose and fix faults with ECU systems
  • Install and configure telematics, tracking devices, and cameras
  • Maintain and repair air conditioning electrical systems
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and vehicle standards
  • Use diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot issues
  • Prepare vehicles for MOT by checking and repairing electrical faults
  • Work from wiring diagrams and technical manuals
  • Keep accurate records of repairs and parts used
The successful MET Technician will have:
  • Level 2 qualification or equivalent (NVQ/City & Guilds).
  • A “can do” attitude and the ability to overcome problems.
  • Significant experience installing electrical items to vehicles.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
The successful MET Technician will get:
  • Basic salary c. £35,802.
  • OTE of c. £40,000.
