General Manager required in North Bristol

Our client, a multi-franchise approved car dealer group with locations across South Wales and the West of England, is looking for a General Manager to manage one of their dealerships in North Bristol. 

Reporting to the senior management team and working in a friendly and accommodating working environment, as a General Manager, you will have overall accountability for the people and financial performance of your dealership.

Your responsibilities as a General Manager will involve the following:
  • Lead, manage and motivate a team of automotive professionals, ensuring the dealership is adequately resourced.
  • Drive a high-performance culture, ensuring performance is rewarded and underperformance is managed.
  • Oversee the sales and after-sales divisions, ensuring performance meets or exceeds budget.
  • Set financial and growth objectives for each department, and plan accordingly to ensure profit and product targets are met.
  • Accurately finalise dealership reporting, in line with our client's group reporting frameworks.
  • Develop and roll out dealership marketing and publicity strategies to support objectives.
  • Support the dealerships to consistently achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure dealership activities are conducted in line with our clients, manufacturer and regulatory requirements.
Our client requires an experienced Head of Business/Dealer Principal/General Manager from a similar franchise-approved car dealership background to join and drive their business forward. In addition to your previous experience, our client is seeking an individual who displays strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate a large and diverse team, a professional and calm approach with strong stakeholder management skills to manage internal and external stakeholders, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to foresee potential barriers. A UK driving licence with minimal points is also essential.
