Vehicle Technician / Mechanic Needed in Preston
  • Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm + Saturday mornings on a rota basis (40 hours per week)
  • Salary: Up to £55,480 OTE per annum
  • Contract Type: Permanent
Our client, a highly respected main dealership, is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join their professional and expanding workshop team. You’ll work alongside a dedicated team of skilled technicians, carrying out diagnostics, repairs, and servicing to the highest standards using the latest tools and technology. Key Responsibilities of the Vehicle Technician:
  • Carry out vehicle health checks using advanced diagnostic technology
  • Conduct servicing and repairs in line with manufacturer and company standards
  • Complete warranty and repair work efficiently and accurately
  • Road test vehicles to ensure all issues are resolved to a high standard
  • Maintain thorough and accurate service documentation
  • Ensure all work complies with safety and quality requirements
What We’re Looking For in a Vehicle Technician:
  • Qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic in a dealership or independent garage
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • MOT licence preferred (desirable but not essential)
  • Diagnostic, MOT, and EV experience advantageous
  • A proactive attitude with a commitment to delivering quality workmanship
