HGV Technician Needed in Chorley
  • Location: Chorley
  • Working Hours: Alternating shifts – Week 1: Mon–Thurs 7am–6pm | Week 2: Tues–Fri 7am–6pm | Alternate Saturday mornings 7am–12pm
  • Salary: Up to £50,500 basic including bonuses & Saturdays, rising to around £53,000 OTE with additional bonuses for MOT and Class 1 Licence
We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established commercial vehicle repair business, now looking for a skilled HGV Technician to join their busy workshop in the Chorley area. Key Responsibilities for the HGV Technician:
  • Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs in line with manufacturer standards.
  • Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults efficiently.
  • Complete warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
  • Strip, fit, and replace components as required.
  • Maintain accurate job records and uphold workshop quality standards.
What We’re Looking For in an HGV Technician:
  • NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent (time-served also considered).
  • Proven experience in commercial vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Methodical approach with attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Full UK driving licence (HGV Class 1 advantageous).
