Your experience in workshop control, fleet management, or senior technician roles will be instrumental in ensuring operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities as a Workshop Controller / Fleet Controller:
- Manage and coordinate daily workshop activities to optimise productivity and quality standards
- Oversee fleet contracts and ensure compliance with service schedules
- Act as the main contact for fleet clients, advising on vehicle servicing and repairs
- Collaborate closely with technicians to monitor job progress and ensure timely completion
- Coordinate parts ordering, workshop scheduling, and workflow management
- Maintain high levels of customer service and operational excellence
- Extensive experience in workshop control, fleet management, or senior technical roles (minimum 10+ years in the automotive industry)
- Strong organisational and leadership skills to oversee a busy workshop and fleet operations
- Excellent communication skills with an emphasis on customer relations
- Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities
- Experience with fleet management platforms or CRM systems such as Kerridge / Pinnacle
- Knowledge of in-house software for parts ordering and workshop loading
- Familiarity with van fleet management or commercial vehicle operations
- Relevant automotive qualifications or certifications
- Experience leading a workshop or fleet service centre in a similar environment
- Full UK driving licence
- Enthusiasm for delivering top-tier customer service and operational efficiency
- Flexibility to manage workload as per business needs
