- Location: Manchester
- Hours: Monday to Friday, flexible between 7:30am – 5:30pm
- Salary: Circa £30,000 per annum, depending on experience
This position offers the perfect balance between customer interaction and administrative work, ideal for someone who enjoys speaking with people while also taking pride in accurate, detailed administration. You’ll play a key role in ensuring customers receive excellent service from start to finish, while keeping the workshop running smoothly behind the scenes.
Key Responsibilities for a Service Receptionist:
- Acting as the first point of contact for customers, delivering a welcoming and professional experience at reception and over the phone
- Managing service bookings and coordinating workshop schedules efficiently
- Liaising with customers throughout the service process, providing updates and handling enquiries
- Preparing job cards, raising invoices, and processing warranty claims accurately
- Supporting the Service and Workshop teams with day-to-day administrative tasks
- Maintaining accurate records in line with company and manufacturer standards
- Previous experience as a Service Advisor, Service Administrator, or Warranty Administrator within the automotive industry
- Strong communication and customer service skills with a professional manner
- Understanding of warranty processes preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and dealer management systems (DMS)
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage a varied workload
- Full UK driving licence preferred but not essential
- A varied position combining both customer-facing and administrative duties
