HGV Technician Vacancy within a Commercial Dealership in Lutterworth 
  • Basic Salary: £20.50 per hour
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours
  • Week 1: 6:00am - 2:00pm
  • Week 2: 2:00pm - 10:00pm
  • Alternate Saturdays, 6:00am - 12:00pm (paid at overtime rate)
  • Salary after Saturday overtime = £52,000 guaranteed. 
  • Plus other overtime available. 
My client is now looking to take on a committed HGV Technician for their workshop in Lutterworth. They are a large-scale independent distributor of Heavy Commercial Vehicles. A great company to work for, with a long list of benefits!

Key Responsibilities of an HGV Technician:
  • Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of vehicles and trailers, ensuring all work meets VOSA standards
  • Diagnose faults and perform necessary repairs in a timely and efficient manner
  • Work closely with the parts department to source and collect the correct components
  • Accurately record time, complete job cards, and service documentation
  • Maintain a clean and organised working area at all times
  • Keep up to date with product knowledge and attend training courses as required
Requirements for the HGV Technician:
  • Recognised heavy vehicle qualifications (City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent)
  • Valid UK driving licence
  • IRTEC licence (highly desirable)
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Awareness and understanding of health & safety in a workshop environment
