Workshop Manager required in Weston-super-Mare:
  • SALARY: Up to £45,000 per annum pending experience. 
  • HOURS: 43.75 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:30pm with 1 in 4 Saturdays, 8:30am to 1:30pm.

A not-to-miss opportunity has become available for a Workshop Manager at our client, the largest independent used car dealer group in the South West of England, to manage their busy workshop at their centre in Weston-super-Mare. 
 
Reporting to the Group Aftersales Leader and working with a large team, as a Workshop Manager your key responsibilities will include: 
  • Proactively plan and manage workshop diaries to maximise efficiency and output.
  • Drive full utilisation of EDynamix and other digital tools to enhance productivity.
  • Take full ownership of timely and parts ordering, ensuring returns are processed efficiently.
  • Oversee job card management, prioritising sold vehicles while effectively coordinating all scheduled service and repair work.
  • Ensure job card write-ups are accurate and compliant, with timely submission of warranty claims through appropriate systems.
  • Work closely and effectively with the front-of-house team and other third parties to arrange seamless bookings or services as required.
  • Monitor and manage WIP (Work In Progress) daily and keep systems updated.
  • Maintain accurate stock control of workshop consumables.
  • Uphold and enforce workshop health and safety standards across the workshop at all times.
To be eligible, the successful Workshop Manager will live in or within a reasonable commuting distance of Weston-super-Mare and ideally be experienced in workshop or aftersales management within a fast-paced automotive setting. You will have strong technical knowledge of vehicles, be able to work under pressure, have a focus on work quality awareness, be an effective communicator, and have a UK driving license with minimal points.
