Vehicle Body Repair/MET Technician required in Newport
  • Starting hourly rate of up to £23 per hour, plus a time efficiency-based bonus scheme (OTE around £55-60,000 per annum).

Our client, a nationwide accident repair centre in the Newport region, is currently looking to hire an experienced and professional Vehicle Body Repair/MET Technician to join their busy bodyshop.

Reporting to the Bodyshop Manager, you shall be carrying out body repair work on customers’ vehicles to a high-quality standard.

Other regular duties of this Vehicle Body Repair / MET Technician role includes:
  • Carrying out diagnostics and mechanical repairs to manufacturer standards.
  • Identifying faults and completing repairs efficiently and accurately.
  • Recording all work completed in line with company processes.
  • Maintaining high standards of health and safety in the workshop.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver excellent results and customer service.
To be eligible, you will need to live within a reasonable commuting distance of Newport and have a UK driving license with minimal points. A relevant IMI/NVQ qualification in Vehicle Accident Repair would be highly advantageous; however, our client is open to considering personnel with no formal qualifications but a strong and steady level of practical experience in vehicle body repair. For your hard work as a Vehicle Body Repair/MET Technician, you will be rewarded with: 
  • Starting hourly rate of up to £23 per hour, plus a time efficiency-based bonus scheme! 
  • Access to a weekly, generous, uncapped time-saving bonus scheme providing an on-target earnings of around £55-60,000 per annum.
  • £5,000 joining bonus split over initial 12-month employment period. 
  • Overtime, subject to availability, paid additionally.
