Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Diagnostic Technician to join their dynamic team in Wellington, Somerset!

The position offers a competitive salary package, motivating working environment, and the chance to work on a variety of vehicle types. Experience with Diesel engines would be advantageous.

Benefits of working as a Diagnostic Technician:
  • Competitive basic salary of up to £37,000 per annum depending on experience
  • OTE of up to £45,000
  • Overtime at time and a half, available regularly
  • 40-hour working week with half-day on Saturdays
  • 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, with additional holiday entitlement based on service

Duties of the Diagnostic Technician:
  • Conducting diagnostics on a variety of vehicle makes and models
  • Replacing cambelts and performing gearbox repairs
  • Undertaking MOT testing and preparing vehicles for MOTs
  • Mentoring apprentices and developing skills within the workshop
  • Maintaining high standards of vehicle repair and customer service
  • Working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Candidate specification for the Diagnostic Technician:
  • Proven experience working as a vehicle technician or diagnostic technician
  • Strong diagnostic skills and experience with electrical systems
  • MOT tester qualification desirable, but training can be provided
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
  • Good mentoring skills for training junior staff and apprentices
  • Flexible attitude towards work schedules and responsibilities
