Based in Crawley Down, West Sussex, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technician with strong technical knowledge who is ready to support and manage a busy workshop within a reputable independent specialist.

Key duties as a Workshop Controller:
  • Leading workshop operations and ensuring smooth daily workflow
  • Allocating jobs to technicians effectively to optimise productivity
  • Supporting and mentoring technicians with technical issues and guidance
  • Liaising with service advisors to maintain high standards of customer service
  • Managing workshop targets, KPIs, and quality control
  • Supporting training and development of less experienced staff
  • Assisting in maintaining vehicle repair standards and technical accuracy
The ideal candidate for this Workshop Controller position:
  • Has a solid technical background, ideally with experience as a Technician or Master Technician
  • Possesses excellent organisational and leadership skills
  • Is confident supporting technicians and resolving technical issues
  • Has experience working with various vehicle makes, including German brands (advantageous but not essential)
  • Is looking to step away from hands-on repair work but wants to stay involved in technical aspects of automotive repair
  • Is proactive, team-focused, and dedicated to high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction
