As an HGV Technician, your duties will include:
  • Conducting major and minor repairs on Mercedes-Benz trucks
  • Performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance
  • Diagnosing vehicle faults using advanced diagnostic equipment
  • Maintaining accurate records of work completed using all relevant systems
  • Completing warranty claims and necessary documentation
  • Carrying out wheel alignments and tyre fitting
  • Ensuring strict adherence to health and safety standards
  • Managing workshop inventory and ensuring a clean, safe work environment
  • Supporting other team members with repairs and diagnostics
  • Working efficiently to meet customer deadlines and quality standards
Requirements of this HGV Technician role include:
  • Level 3 NVQ, City and Guilds, or IMI qualification in HGV Vehicle Repair and Maintenance
  • Proven experience in diagnostics and repair work on commercial vehicles
  • Ability to identify worn or faulty components according to DVSA standards
  • Full UK driving licence for relevant vehicle categories
  • A strong work ethic and excellent problem-solving skills
  • Passion for vehicle repair and customer service excellence
