As an HGV Technician, your duties will include:
- Conducting major and minor repairs on Mercedes-Benz trucks
- Performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance
- Diagnosing vehicle faults using advanced diagnostic equipment
- Maintaining accurate records of work completed using all relevant systems
- Completing warranty claims and necessary documentation
- Carrying out wheel alignments and tyre fitting
- Ensuring strict adherence to health and safety standards
- Managing workshop inventory and ensuring a clean, safe work environment
- Supporting other team members with repairs and diagnostics
- Working efficiently to meet customer deadlines and quality standards
The candidate we are looking for as an HGV Technician will possess:
- Level 3 NVQ, City and Guilds, or IMI qualification in HGV Vehicle Repair and Maintenance
- Proven experience in diagnostics and repair work on commercial vehicles
- Ability to identify worn or faulty components according to DVSA standards
- Full UK driving licence for relevant vehicle categories
- A strong work ethic and excellent problem-solving skills
- Passion for vehicle repair and customer service excellence
