Reporting to the Workshop Manager and working in a modern workshop facility in a friendly and long-standing team, as a Furniture Paint Sprayer/Finisher, your responsibilities shall include:
- Preparing furniture surfaces for spraying, such as cleaning, sanding, and filling any imperfections.
- Mixing and selecting appropriate paint or finish for various furniture types.
- Operating spray equipment, such as spray guns or automated systems, to evenly apply paint or finish.
- Ensuring the quality and consistency of finishes, inspecting furniture pieces for any defects or flaws.
- Cleaning and maintaining spray equipment regularly to ensure optimal performance.
- Adhering to health and safety regulations related to the use and handling of paints, solvents, or other materials.
In order to be eligible for this role, you will ideally have previous similar experience in furniture prepping, spraying, and finishing; however, our client is very open to considering candidates with experience in related paint spraying fields that can transfer their skills over. For example, if you have experience in automotive paint spraying or industrial/commercial paint spraying, that would be highly transferable to our client. Overall, you will have proficiency in operating spray equipment and using different types of paint or finishes, have knowledge of different spraying techniques and the ability to achieve your desired finish, and have an attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve any potential issues or defects.
