Duties of a Parts Advisor include:
  • Providing exceptional customer service to onsite parts customers
  • Assisting technicians in locating parts for vehicle repairs
  • Answering phone enquiries and managing walk-in and wholesale customer needs
  • Managing stock control, locating out-of-stock parts, and thinking creatively to meet customer requirements
  • Handling parts transactions and ensuring accurate billing
  • Tracking incoming and outgoing parts with attention to detail
  • Packaging and shipping parts back to manufacturers when necessary
  • Using parts manuals and electronic systems such as Keyloop/Kerridge to identify correct parts
Candidate requirements for a Parts Advisor:
  • Proven experience as a Parts Advisor or similar role within the automotive industry
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for delivering excellent customer service
  • Experience working at a retail counter and over the phone is desirable
  • Confident computer literacy and experience using parts software
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently
