Key duties for the Service Advisor position include:
- Greeting customers professionally and courteously, ensuring a positive experience
- Providing accurate repair estimates and repair advice to customers
- Registering new vehicles and processing service documentation efficiently
- Preparing invoices and completing vehicle taxing procedures accurately
- Managing customer enquiries, payments, and complaints at first contact
- Liaising with parts and workshop teams to ensure smooth workflow
- Handling internal and external customer communications with courtesy and professionalism
- Adhering to health and safety policies at all times
- Managing warranty claims and vehicle service records
Candidate requirements for this Service Advisor role:
- Previous experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar role within the automotive industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- PC literate with knowledge of administration procedures
- Knowledge of commercial vehicle after-market is advantageous
