Duties of the Business Development Manager include:
- Identifying and establishing strategic partnerships within the fleet management, logistics, and mobile mechanic sectors
- Managing the full sales cycle from prospecting, cold outreach, to onboarding and account nurturing
- Conducting regular client visits across south of the U.K
- Developing tailored maintenance and repair solutions that address client needs
- Building long-term relationships with key stakeholders such as fleet and operations managers
- Monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and fleet regulation changes to inform strategic planning
- Acting as the face of the company in the field to promote mobile mechanic services as a superior alternative to traditional garage solutions
Candidate specification for the Business Development Manager role:
- Proven experience in B2B sales within the automotive, fleet management or logistics sectors
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage complex contracts with large fleet clients
- Results-driven attitude with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, capable of engaging senior stakeholders
- Full UK driving licence is essential for client visits
- Experience working with fleet solutions, vehicle maintenance, or related mobile services is highly desirable
