about the role
As a Panel Beater, you will be pivotal in restoring a wide range of vehicles to their pre-accident condition. Your expertise will ensure high standards of repair work on various makes and models, including:
- Removing, repairing, and replacing damaged body panels
- Realigning chassis and structural components using industry-standard jig work
- Performing welding procedures, with necessary qualifications
- Filling, sanding, and finishing panels to achieve a flawless finish
- Conducting thorough quality checks before vehicle handover
You will work closely within a collaborative team of experienced technicians committed to excellence and customer satisfaction.
To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate should possess:
- Proven experience as a Panel Beater in crash or accident repair workshops
- Strong knowledge of body repair techniques and welding, with relevant qualifications
- Experience using panel jig systems, welding machines, and filler application
- High attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
- NVQ/IMI Level 3 in Vehicle Body Repair (or equivalent) is preferred but not essential
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7am to 4pm (40 hours per week). No weekend work.
Pay: £20 to £24 per hour DOE plus quarterly bonus
OTE: Up to £60,000 per annum with overtime and bonuses
