My client is a Volume Main Dealer looking for an MOT Tester to add to its busy Exeter site. The ideal candidate will ideally have 3 or more years experience working in a workshop environment and qualified to Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Technology.

This role will involve performing diagnostic work, repairs, servicing, and MOT testing on a range of vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, a good eye for detail, and a dedication to delivering high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities of an MOT Tester:

  • Conduct MOT tests in line with DVSA standards
  • Perform general servicing, maintenance, and repair work
  • Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical issues
  • Complete relevant documentation and maintain records of work
  • Ensure health and safety standards are followed
Requirements for the role:

  • Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
  • Valid MOT Licence
  • Previous experience in as a technician
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work efficiently and meet productivity targets
