Duties and responsibilities of the Level 2 Vehicle Technician include:

  • Completing vehicle servicing, repairs, and maintenance in compliance with manufacturer standards
  • Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical faults under supervision
  • Conducting road tests and inspecting vehicles to ensure optimal performance
  • Communicating vehicle conditions clearly to customers via video or direct explanations
  • Accurately completing all required documentation and checklists
  • Maintaining workplace safety standards and ensuring tools and equipment are kept in excellent condition
  • Assisting with stock management and maintaining a clean work environment
  • Providing excellent customer service and demonstrating accountability for the quality of work
Candidate requirements for the Level 2 Vehicle Technician:

  • Basic knowledge of motor vehicle maintenance and repair, ideally with a Level 2 qualification
  • Experience working in a busy workshop environment
  • Full clean UK driving licence with the right to work and live in the UK
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with colleagues and customers
  • Competent in using garage management software and IT applications
  • Committed to adhering to safety standards at all times
