Our client, a well-established commercial vehicle service centre based in Preston, is looking for a dedicated Workshop Controller to join their busy team. This role offers a competitive basic salary starting at £40,000 per year plus the potential to earn bonuses, alongside a company vehicle.

- Opportunity to work within an established 18-bay workshop
- Standard working hours of 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday
- Saturday rota from 8am to 12pm offering optional weekend work
- Oversee daily workshop operations and ensure efficient workflow
- Coordinate and supervise the servicing and repair of commercial vehicles, specialising in light commercial vehicles (LCV) and heavy goods vehicles (HGV)
- Manage a team of technicians and service advisers to meet customer expectations
- Ensure the highest standards of customer service and technician output are maintained
- Maintain high levels of health and safety compliance within the workshop
- Effectively handle customer enquiries and facilitate communication between the workshop and clients
- Proven experience as a Workshop Controller within a commercial vehicle environment
- Strong understanding of LCV and HGV servicing and repair processes
- Excellent leadership and organisational skills
- Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
