Are you an experienced Vehicle Technician and MOT Tester seeking your next career move? A well-established, family-run garage in Wigan is looking to recruit a skilled Vehicle Technician & MOT Tester to join their friendly team.

  • Competitive basic salary up to £40,000 depending on experience
  • OTE of approximately £40,000 with bonus and additional incentives
  • Monday to Friday working hours from 8:30am to 5:00pm

Duties as a Vehicle Technician & MOT Tester will include:
  • Conduct vehicle servicing, repairs, and diagnostics to high standards
  • Perform MOT testing and ensure vehicles meet required safety and emissions standards
  • Carry out routine maintenance including brake work, engine repairs, and component replacements
  • Use diagnostic tools and technical manuals to identify faults efficiently
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure outstanding customer service
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations to maintain a safe workshop environment
Requirements that the Vehicle Technician & MOT Tester will need:
  • Qualified to Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician with at least 4 years in a busy workshop environment
  • MOT Tester certification is essential
  • Strong diagnostic skills with the ability to detect faults accurately
  • Ability to produce high-quality work under pressure
  • Excellent team player with good communication skills
  • Flexible, motivated, and committed to meeting targets and deadlines
