  • SALARY: Up to £30-32,000 basic salary pending tow bar experience, plus a bonus worth up to £560 per month. 
  • HOURS: Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm only! 37.5 hours per week.

Our client, a nationwide vehicle trailer/towbar specialist, is currently looking to recruit a Vehicle Towbar & Service Technician for their branch in Cardiff. 

This role's main objectives will be to fit towbars and service trailers while practising good housekeeping and operating within the Health and Safety Regulations. To work within the Branch Team to achieve sales/margin targets. Reporting to the Branch Manager and working as part of a friendly team, your responsibilities shall include:
 
  • Undertake daily duties as designated by the Branch Team and Workshop Diary
  • Fit towbars to customer vehicles, having first checked for marks/scratches, ensuring all marks are recorded on the relevant form. 
  • Keep up to date with any changes to suppliers’ towbar fitting instructions, including wiring, via the Branch network and use of the internet
  • Report any problems or damage relating to customers’ vehicles/property immediately to the Branch Manager/Assistant Manager
  • Service and repair the Company’s fleet of hire trailers to an agreed schedule
  • Maintain and update full records of each trailer in the company's hire fleet for servicing purposes
  • Assemble and modify trailers as required
To be eligible, you shall need to live within a reasonable commuting distance of Cardiff and ideally have a UK driving licence with minimal points. Experience working with vehicle towbars and trailers would be an advantage. Our client is also willing to consider training the right candidate, should you have strong vehicle knowledge and experience with mechanics and electrical components. A full UK driving license is also essential for this role.
