Our client, a reputable and well-established family run automotive dealership, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Workshop Controller to join their busy service department. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled motor trade professional looking to progress their career within a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the Workshop Controller and ensuring the smooth operation of the workshop.

- Basic Salary circa £35K
- Monday to Friday 8.30am - 6pm, plus 1 in 3 Saturday Mornings paid @ £90

- Assist the Assistant Aftersales Manager in managing daily workshop operations
- Assist service dept with call handling & various other admin roles
- Allocate work to technicians efficiently, maximising productivity
- Ensure high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction
- Liaise with service advisors and customers regarding vehicle repairs
- Monitor workshop workflow and ensure timely completion of jobs
- Maintain accurate workshop records and invoicing
- Assist in training and mentoring junior staff where appropriate
- Promote health and safety practices within the workshop
- Proven experience as a workshop controller, assistant workshop controller, or similar role within the automotive sector
- Strong technical knowledge of vehicle repairs and servicing
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to motivate and lead a team effectively
- Full UK driving licence
- Knowledge of manufacturer standards and workshop management systems
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and customer service
