  • Salary: Hourly rate of £17 per hour with optional overtime paid at a time-and-a-half rate.
  • Hours: 39-hour week. 8:30am-5:00pm Monday to Thursday and 8:30-4:00pm Friday.

Our client, one of Wales' oldest car dealer groups with multiple centres across Southwest Wales, is currently looking to recruit a Vehicle Paint Sprayer to join their busy accident repair centre based in Kidwelly. 

Reporting to the Bodyshop Manager and working as part of a team of 6 productives, as a Vehicle Paint Sprayer, your key objectives will include:
  • Fulfil all tasks to the customer’s complete satisfaction.
  • Complete the assigned jobs within the estimated paint times.
  • Safeguard the customer’s vehicle and its contents while in the bodyshop.
  • Ensure that all vehicles comply with safety standards when returned to the customer.
  • Carry out repairs according to best practice and procedures.
  • Meet acceptable safety and quality standards.
  • Interpret and implement technical instruction data.
  • Use all paint mixing schemes and drying areas, and equipment accurately for all paint repairs. 
  • Seek clarification from the Bodyshop Manager if a work order is not clear or seems to be incorrect.
To be eligible, you will ideally be fully qualified to NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in Vehicle Accident Repair Paint Principles or have several years of "time-served" experience working as a Vehicle Paint Sprayer with a strong working knowledge of water-based paint. You will need to have your own spray guns (our client provides most other equipment), hold a driving licence with minimal points, be a committed individual and a good team player. You must be able to produce high-quality workmanship in a busy working environment and be motivated to work towards targets set for your team. Our client only does manufacturer-approved work, so if you're looking to break away from insurance-only work, then this is the job for you!
