Parts Advisor/Assistant Manager - Shepton Mallet
  • Salary: Between £28-32,000 per annum, pending experience.
  • Hours: 42.5-hour week, Mon to Fri. Two shifts available with either 8:00am-5:00pm or 8:30am-5:30pm, plus a half-hour lunch.

A not-to-be-missed opportunity has become available for an experienced and professional Parts Advisor/Assistant Manager to join our client's award-winning motor factor business operating in Shepton Mallet.

Reporting to the Centre Manager and working as part of a friendly team, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Take orders over the telephone, upselling to increase invoice value.
  • Unpacking deliveries.
  • Providing supervision of the centre in the Centre Manager's absence. 
  • Outbound calling to raise customer awareness and achieve higher sales.
  • Build a long-term report with local customers.
  • Limit credits and returns by ordering and sending the right parts the first time.
  • Punctual, organised and efficient whilst working towards deadlines.
  • Pro-active and enthusiastic when speaking with customers.
  • Demonstrate empathy towards customers.
To be eligible, the successful Parts Supervisor must be professional both face-to-face and over the telephone, and must possess excellent communication, organisation & time management skills. Previous automotive parts experience in a similar role is essential, along with strong IT literacy. Any experience working at a supervisory/managerial level would also be beneficial.
