Duties:
  • Conducting major and minor repairs on heavy goods vehicles and trailers in line with manufacturer standards
  • Performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance such as tyre replacements and oil changes
  • Diagnosing faults and helping plan repairs with workshop teams
  • Maintaining accurate vehicle repair records
  • Responding to emergency roadside repairs when required
  • Ensuring workshop cleanliness and proper inventory control
  • Completing all necessary documentation, warranty claims, and escalation procedures
Requirements:
  • Level 3 (NVQ, City & Guilds or IMI) qualification in HGV Vehicle Repair and Maintenance
  • Proven experience as an HGV Technician, with the ability to inspect and identify worn or faulty components
  • Full UK driving licence for relevant vehicle classes
  • Knowledge of DVSA standards for vehicle testing and safety
  • IRTEC accreditation is desirable but not essential
  • Strong diagnostic skills and a proactive approach to vehicle maintenance
  • Excellent team player with good organisational skills
