Are you an experienced Payroll or HR professional seeking a new challenge? Our client is looking for a highly motivated Pay & Benefits Administrator to join their team in Colchester, Essex.

This position offers a hybrid working arrangement, combining both office-based and remote work, providing flexibility whilst maintaining on-site collaboration during your initial probation period.

Duties as a Pay & Benefits Administrator will include:
  • Assist with the end-to-end payroll process for approximately 3000 employees across the UK, Northern Ireland, and the Channel Islands
  • Verify and process new starters, leavers, and data changes such as salary, commissions, and bonuses
  • Produce, analyse, and distribute payroll and benefits reports
  • Maintain and update spreadsheets, databases, and payroll records
  • Provide excellent support and advice to colleagues regarding pay and benefits queries
  • Ensure compliance with statutory payroll requirements including tax, national insurance, pensions, and statutory payments
  • Understand legislation relating to statutory sick pay, company sick pay, maternity and paternity pay
  • Administer employee benefits programmes such as pensions, private medical insurance, and flexible benefits
  • Perform ad hoc payroll and benefits duties as required
Requirements that the Pay & Benefits Administrator will need:
  • At least 2 years' experience working within a payroll or HR environment
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively handle employee queries
  • Ability to work within a team and independently
  • Live within a commutable distance to Colchester
