- Assist the General Sales Manager in managing daily sales operations across multiple sites
- Lead, motivate, and develop the sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets
- Oversee lead allocation, ensure optimal customer follow-up, and monitor sales conversion rates
- Maintain high standards of vehicle presentation in line with brand guidelines
- Manage part exchange valuations and ensure accurate appraisals aligned with market trends
- Handle customer complaints swiftly and professionally to ensure high customer satisfaction
- Review financial reports and bank controls ensuring compliance with company policies
- Collaborate with Transaction Managers to hit site unit targets and optimise sales processes
- Organise and deliver sales team training to continually improve performance and product knowledge
- Monitor and control costs related to vehicle preparations, ensuring efficiency without compromising standards
- Proven management experience within a car sales environment, ideally over 1 year
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Good understanding of finance, insurance products, and vehicle valuations
- High level of attention to detail and customer satisfaction orientation
- FCA accredited or willing to obtain accreditation
- Flexible attitude to working hours, including weekends on a rota basis
