PDI Technician Opportunity in Swindon
  • Salary: Between £28-32,000 basic salary, pending experience, with a performance-related bonus of up to £12,000 per annum, paid monthly.
  • Hours: 40-hour week. 8:00am-5:00pm Monday to Friday, with an hour lunch, and 1 in 3 Saturdays 8:00am-12:00pm, paid as overtime.

Our client, one of the UK's largest independent automotive dealer groups operating since 1999, is currently looking to recruit a Vehicle Prep/PDI Technician for their multi-franchise-approved car dealership located in Swindon.

Reporting to the Service Manager, and working part of a friendly team, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Carry out vehicle and equipment preparation in line with company standards.
  • Perform basic mechanical checks and identify defects or damage.
  • Prepare vehicles for MOTs, servicing, inspections, or customer handover.
  • Complete pre-delivery inspections (PDIs).
  • Remove and refit vehicle components where required.
  • Assist technicians and workshop staff with general preparation tasks
To be eligible, you will need to be qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair as a minimum. You will need to hold a UK driving license with minimal points, be a committed individual and be a good team player. You must be able to produce high-quality work in a busy franchise-approved dealership environment and be motivated to work towards targets set for your team.
