Are you an experienced motor trade professional with a passion for classic cars? Our client, a highly reputable classic car restoration workshop near Liss, Hampshire, is seeking a skilled Classic Car Technician to join their expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse range of vintage and modern vehicles in a supportive and dynamic environment.

The role primarily involves restoring and maintaining classic vehicles, with plenty of scope for hands-on fabrication and welding. Our client values individuals with a genuine interest in classic cars and a willingness to develop their skills in this specialised sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality workmanship, working on prestigious projects, and potentially advancing their career into more senior roles.

Duties
  • Conduct vehicle diagnostics and repairs with high standards of craftsmanship
  • Perform restorations and refurbishment projects on classic cars as per customer specifications
  • Dismantle, label, and organise vehicle parts and assemblies efficiently
  • Carry out fabrication and welding work, either independently or with guidance, depending on your skill level
  • Assess components and either restore or replace parts to meet quality standards
  • Compile detailed parts lists to aid purchasing and project planning
  • Reassemble vehicles, ensuring all work exceeds customer expectations
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times
Candidate spec
  • NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
  • Minimum of 3 years workshop experience in the motor trade
  • Strong interest in classic cars with experience or desire to learn restoration techniques and welding
  • Knowledge of automotive systems, both modern and vintage
  • Willingness to develop fabrication and welding skills
  • Driven, reliable, and motivated to deliver outstanding results
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Full and valid UK Driving Licence
  • Patient, methodical, and able to manage projects that can span several months
