Service Vehicle Technician Required in Billingshurst For Family Run Dealership 

Pay: Starting from £37,000 
Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm with breaks 

Are you an experienced Service Vehicle Technician looking to take your career to the next level? Our client, a reputable family-run dealership in Billingshurst, is seeking a skilled Service Vehicle Technician to join their dedicated team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive automotive workshop environment, providing high-quality servicing and repairs on a variety of commercial and passenger vehicles.

Duties:
  • Conduct scheduled service maintenance and inspections on motor vehicles and commercial vehicles
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults accurately
  • Complete fault-finding and diagnostics using various software platforms and understanding of wiring diagrams
  • Carry out pre-delivery inspections on new and pre-owned vehicles
  • Perform repairs and servicing on ATV’s, off-road, and on-road equipment
  • Promote dealership services and products to customers effectively
  • Attend manufacturer training courses to stay updated with latest vehicle technologies
  • Assist with tyre replacements and wheel alignments
  • Complete detailed job cards and work orders efficiently
  • Maintain workshop standards and uphold safety protocols
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior technicians and apprentices
Requirements:
  • Proven experience working as a Service Vehicle Technician or similar role
  • Technical skills in diagnostics, repairs, and routine servicing
  • Familiarity with commercial and passenger vehicles, including off-road equipment
  • Own tooling preferred; special tools supplied along with PPE
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Able to work flexibly, including potential shift patterns and occasional out-of-hours support
  • Knowledge or experience of Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV) advantageous
  • Enthusiastic team player with a proactive approach to learning and development
