Vehicle Technician Opportunity 
  • Volume Main Dealer
  • Basic salary of up to £32k DOE, OTE up to £37k
  • Monday to Friday with 1 in 6 Saturdays
We are currently recruiting for a highly skilled Vehicle Technician to join a busy main dealership in Exeter. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified automotive professional to work within a dynamic environment that values expertise and dedication. The successful Vehicle Technician will have the chance to earn a competitive salary and enjoy a range of excellent benefits.

Duties of a Vehicle Technician:
  • Diagnose complex vehicle faults across all systems, ensuring accurate and efficient repairs
  • Perform routine servicing and maintenance to manufacturer standards
  • Conduct comprehensive vehicle health checks and explain findings to customers
  • Maintain high standards of quality workmanship with first-time fix rates
  • Liaise with workshop supervision and other team members to ensure smooth workflow
  • Keep the work area clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards
Requirements:
  • Qualified Level 3 or above in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
  • Diagnostic certification is highly desirable, preferably obtained with a recognised brand
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills across passenger vehicles
  • Confident in all aspects of vehicle servicing, diagnostics, and repairs
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Experience working in a fast-paced garage environment
  • Ability to make quick decisions with the customer and company’s best interests in mind
  • MOT licence is advantageous but not essential
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude
