Reporting to the Centre Manager and working as part of a large team, as a MET Technician, your responsibilities will include:
- Perform mechanical and electrical repairs to an exceptionally high standard.
- Proven experience in replacing mechanical parts in vehicles.
- Confident in stripping and refitting all components of a vehicle.
- Proficient in using correct repair methods for EV and ADAS vehicles.
- Self-assess completed tasks to ensure proper fitment and compliance with manufacturer specifications.
- Regularly check all tools to ensure they are fit for purpose.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of PPE.
Our client, however, is willing to consider indivduals with no formal qualifications who have a prior track record in vehicle body repair/strip and fit or from a motor vehicle mechanical background, and ideally, experience working on prestige/premium vehicles.
You will have a strong understanding of ADAS systems with knowledge of hybrid and electric vehicles.
Overall, you will be able to work under pressure and to strict deadlines, carry out duties as detailed on job cards to manufacturer and company standards, use initiative and can prioritise workload to meet delivery times and customers’ expectations, be able to work independently but liaise effectively with colleagues and support others by multi-tasking during busy periods.
A UK driving licence with minimal points is essential at this stage.
