Are you an experienced HGV Technician looking for a rewarding night shift role within a renowned commercial vehicle dealership? We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a skilled Night Shift HGV Technician to join their team at Pontefract. Key duties of the Night Shift HGV Technician:
  • Conducting comprehensive repairs and maintenance on heavy goods vehicles
  • Performing routine inspections, including tyre rotations and oil changes
  • Diagnosing faults using current diagnostic tools and methods
  • Maintaining accurate records of repair work carried out
  • Managing inventory and ensuring workshop cleanliness
  • Providing emergency roadside repairs when required
  • Completing all appropriate documentation and warranty claims
  • Supporting junior team members with technical training and guidance
Requirements for the HGV Technician:
  • Level 3 (NVQ, City and Guilds or IMI) qualification in HGV Vehicle Repair and Maintenance
  • Proven experience in heavy vehicle repairs and diagnostics
  • Knowledge of DVSA standards and compliance requirements
  • Full UK driving licence suitable for HGV vehicles
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and on your own initiative
