We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced HGV Technician to join a reputable national dealership group in Preston, Lancashire. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional looking to advance their career within the motor trade sector. The HGV Technician (Nights) will be responsible for maintaining and repairing commercial vehicles, ensuring high standards of safety and quality.

Duties:
  • Undertake maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a variety of commercial vehicles and trailers
  • Conduct fault diagnosis and tests to identify issues effectively
  • Complete all relevant paperwork relating to warranty, retail, and contract work
  • Carry out preventative maintenance to reduce customer costs
  • Adhere to manufacturer procedures and maintain up-to-date technical knowledge
  • Contribute to a safe and efficient workshop environment
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (City & Guilds or similar)
  • Proven experience working on commercial vehicles and trailers
  • Strong diagnostic and repair skills
  • Organised, detail-oriented, with excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Full UK driving licence; HGV licence preferred but not essential
  • Professional attitude with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
