Our client, a leading vehicle logistics and distribution company with an expanding operations team, is actively seeking a PDI Technician with Level 3 hybrid and electric vehicle qualifications to join their dedicated workshops in Southampton, Hampshire. - Carry out comprehensive pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles, with an emphasis on electric and hybrid models
- Utilise diagnostic tools and electronic systems to identify and resolve complex mechanical and electrical faults, particularly on hybrid and electric vehicles
- Perform advanced diagnostics, ADAS calibration, EV battery replacements, and wheel alignments using specialist workshop equipment
- Complete detailed inspection checklists and record findings accurately, either electronically or on paper
- Support general workshop duties, including vehicle preparation, valeting, and minor body repairs
- Assist with manufacturing and fitting tasks such as ply lining, shelving, and vehicle accessory installations, with a focus on electric vehicles
- Adhere strictly to company health and safety procedures and standard operating protocols
- Work as part of a team, mentoring junior staff and supporting workshop operations to maintain high standards of quality and efficiency
- Full UK driving licence
- Level 3 hybrid and electric vehicle qualifications are essential and should be demonstrated throughout your application
- Proven experience within an automotive workshop environment, ideally with main dealer or logistics background
- Experience with diagnostics, electrical systems, and comprehensive vehicle inspections
- Strong mechanical skills and dexterity, with an enthusiasm for staying current with electric and hybrid technology
- Ability to follow detailed processes and work effectively within a team environment
- Competence in using diagnostic software and workshop machinery, with a clear focus on hybrid and electric vehicle systems
- Reliable, proactive, and committed to delivering top-quality work in all vehicle types, especially electric and hybrid models
