Our Client, a small independent garage group based in the Hampshire area, dealing with all makes of models of vehicles are seeking a Vehicle Technician for their branch in Winchester.
  • Basic salary: up to £40,000
  • Hours: Monday to Friday – 08:30 till 18:00
  • No Saturdays
  • Must have experience as a technician
  • UK Full driving Licence
They are a well-respected automotive business, with multiple sites across the Hampshire area, providing a whole range of automotive services.Our Client has a great reputation for creating a friendly working environment, away from the day-to-day pressures of Manufacturers and Dealer Groups. This is a fantastic opportunity for Vehicle Technicians with Level 2 qualifications looking for a role to both learn & earn! Our Client offers you an In-house training, with opportunities to develop skills and qualifications further.

Time-Served Mechanics are considered for this vacancy with Salary discussion based on skill set.

Duties of a Technician with our Client:
  • Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on many types of vehicles while maintaining company and industry standards and adhering to time constraints
  • Carry out vehicle repairs and communicate issues to service manager and service advisors; conduct additional repair work as advised by managers or advisors
  • Use manufacturer diagnostic equipment to ensure diagnostics, testing, and repairs are thorough and to highest quality
  • Keep work area clean, neat, and to company standards, especially to ensure safety of all team members
What our Client expects of their Technician:
  • Time Served experience without qualifications - Considered 
  • Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance or Similar 
  • To provide basic tooling and equipment, or be able to purchase own basic tooling and equipment prior to employment
  • A willingness to learn new skills
  • Organisational skills, and work well under pressure
  • Knowledge of the motor trade
  • Good team player
  • Full UK driving licence (Necessity)
