Duties:
  • Service, diagnose, and repair RCV mainly, with exposure to sweepers, tractors, and 7.5T vehicles
  • Carry out routine inspections and maintenance tasks to keep vehicles roadworthy
  • Support the wider engineering team through accurate completion of defect sheets, job cards, and compliance documentation
  • Utilise diagnostic equipment effectively to identify and resolve faults promptly
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment
  • Work flexibly across shifts including early mornings, days, and late shifts as required
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Plant Mechanic, PCV Technician, HGV Technician, or LCV Technician
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Heavy/PCV Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Full UK driving licence; PCV Category D licence desirable (training may be provided)
  • IRTEC accreditation or MOT tester licence is advantageous
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a meticulous approach to work
