Salary: £30,000 Basic + Productivity Bonus + Overtime (OTE £35,000+)
Working Hours: 40 Hours Per Week | Monday to Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm | 1 in 2 Saturday Mornings 8:00am – 12:00pm (Paid at Overtime Rate)

About the Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Prep Technician / MOT Tester to join the busy workshop team at a main dealer in Burton. This role is ideal for a qualified technician who enjoys vehicle preparation and MOT testing, working as part of a supportive dealership environment with excellent earning potential through bonus and overtime.

You'll be responsible for preparing used vehicles to a high standard, carrying out MOT testing, and ensuring every vehicle is ready for sale or customer handover.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out vehicle preparation work on used vehicles
  • Perform MOT testing in line with DVSA regulations (where qualified)
  • Complete routine servicing, including oil and filter changes
  • Replace service items such as spin-on oil filters and other consumable components
  • Carry out vehicle health checks and report any additional work required
  • Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to manufacturer standards
  • Maintain accurate workshop documentation and job records
  • Keep the workshop clean, safe, and organised
What We're Looking For:
  • Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification (or equivalent)
  • Valid MOT Tester Licence 
  • Previous experience as a Prep Technician or Vehicle Technician
  • Confident carrying out servicing and vehicle preparation work
  • Good attention to detail and quality of workmanship
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Positive attitude and ability to work well as part of a team
