  • Basic Salary: Circa £20 per hour (DOE) + Bonuses

  • Various Shift Patterns Available: 5am - 1:30pm, 1:30pm - 10pm & 10pm - 6:30am
We're recruiting on behalf of our client for experienced HGV Technicians to join their modern commercial vehicle workshop in Wellingborough.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team within a newly established facility, equipped with modern tools and equipment. If you're a skilled HGV Technician who takes pride in quality workmanship, safety and teamwork, this could be the perfect next step in your career.

Responsibilities:
  • Carry out inspections, servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs, trailers and other commercial vehicles.
  • Diagnose faults efficiently and complete repairs in line with DVSA standards.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, inspections and general workshop duties.
  • Work both independently and as part of a supportive team.
  • Attend roadside breakdowns and emergency repairs where required.
  • Complete all relevant documentation, service records and warranty paperwork accurately.
  • Maintain high workshop standards, including cleanliness and stock control.
Requirements: 
  • Level 3 qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds or IMI) in HGV Maintenance & Repair.
  • Full UK driving licence (Class 1 advantageous but not essential).
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
  • Ability to identify worn or faulty components in accordance with DVSA standards.
  • MOT Licence beneficial but not essential.
