As Head of Business, you will oversee every aspect of the dealership operation, ensuring exceptional customer experiences, strong financial performance and a highly engaged workforce. Working closely with the senior leadership team, you will drive strategic objectives while maintaining the highest operational and customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the overall dealership operation, delivering outstanding commercial and operational performance.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to support sustainable growth and long-term profitability.
- Protect the business, manufacturer relationships and overall reputation of the dealership.
- Act as a brand ambassador, promoting excellence across every area of the business.
- Inspire, develop and motivate teams across all departments, creating a high-performance culture.
- Take full ownership of financial performance, ensuring key performance indicators and profitability targets are consistently achieved.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, manufacturer partners, suppliers and key stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement, innovation and operational excellence throughout the business.
- Proven experience in a senior automotive retail leadership position such as Head of Business, General Manager, Dealer Principal, Head of Operations or similar.
- Outstanding leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate and develop high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the confidence to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong emotional intelligence and exceptional people management capability.
- A passion for creating a positive, customer-focused culture.
- Excellent commercial and financial acumen, including experience managing profitability, departmental KPIs, stock control and cash flow.
- Experience interpreting management accounts and using business data to drive performance.
- A comprehensive understanding of automotive retail operations, including Sales, Aftersales and Customer Experience.
- Good IT skills and experience using automotive retail management systems.
- A forward-thinking approach and enthusiasm for the continued evolution of the automotive industry, including electric and hybrid vehicle technologies.
- Basic salary from £60,000 depending on experience.
