Are you an experienced vehicle prepper looking to join a well-established commercial vehicle bodyshop in Arundel, West Sussex? We are currently recruiting for a dedicated Commercial Vehicle Bodyshop Prepper to join our client’s team. This role offers a great opportunity for candidates with a background in bodyshop work, specialising in buses, coaches, trucks, and vans, including restoration and accident repair.

Benefits:
  • Competitive basic salary up to £40,000 per annum based on experience
  • Monday to Friday working hours, 08:00 to 17:00, with no weekend shifts

  • Supportive environment with experienced team of painters and technicians
  • Regular social and wellbeing activities, including monthly visits from a mobile barbershop
Duties:
  • Preparation of commercial vehicles including buses, coaches, trucks, and vans
  • Masking, filling, sanding, and fiberglass repairs
  • Handling restoration and accident repair work
  • Performing basic welding tasks as needed
  • Ensuring vehicles are ready for painting or further bodywork
  • Working closely with the team and maintaining high standards of quality
  • Adapting to fast-paced environment with patience and attention to detail
Individual spec:
  • Proven experience working within a bodyshop environment, ideally with commercial vehicles
  • Ability to carry out vehicle preparation including masking, sanding, and filling
  • Knowledge of fiberglass repairs and basic welding skills preferred but not essential
  • Good team player with a positive attitude and ability to handle banter
  • Patient, meticulous, and capable of working on complex projects such as buses and classic vehicles
  • Previous experience with restoration or accident repair is advantageous
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to the commercial vehicle bodyshop environment
