Vehicle Panel Beater Vacancy in Swindon!
  • Salary: Between £40-50,000 per annum pending experience. 
  • Hours: 8:00am-6:00pm Monday to Friday with Saturdays, 8:00am-1:30pm on a rota and paid as overtime. 
Our client, one of the UK's largest independent used van/commercial vehicle retailers, is currently looking to recruit a Panel Beater for their bodyshop in Swindon.

Reporting to the Operations Manager and working as part of a friendly team in modern facilities, you will be responsible for restoring our clients' stock of used van/commercial vehicles to their former glory. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Undertake replacement and repair of damaged or compromised automotive bodywork panels.
  • Complete chassis and framework repairs.
  • Stripping and rebuilding accident-damaged vehicles.
  • Accurately assess vehicle damage and apply appropriate methods to produce a high-quality repair.
  • Conduct bumper and door repair work as required.
  • Masking and preparing vehicles for paintwork.
  • Ensure all panel beating/repair work meets relevant quality standards.
  • Work as part of a team to ensure the bodyshop runs efficiently and safely.

To be eligible, you will need to have current or recent experience working as a Panel Beater.  An IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Accident Repair would be desirable; however, our client is willing to consider individuals with strong "on the job" experience as a Panel Beater who can work to their meticulous standards. Overall, you will have a good eye for detail, be a team player with good communication skills, have an aptitude for multitasking, and have a UK driving license with minimal points.
