Our client, a reputable family owned service centre located in Poole, Dorset, is seeking an experienced Diagnostic Technician to join their busy workshop. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional who thrives on heavy mechanics and diagnostics. The successful individual will work within a well-equipped garage that prioritises quality work and staff development.

Benefits: 
  • Up to £45,000 basic salary depending on experience
  • Monday to Friday working hours, 8.30 am to 5.00 pm
  • 22 days holiday plus bank holidays

Duties:
  • Conduct thorough vehicle diagnostics and identify faults accurately
  • Perform complex engine dismantling and rebuilds
  • Carry out heavy mechanical repairs, gearboxes and engine work
  • Fully dismantle and assess engines for diagnostic purposes
  • Use modern diagnostic tools and equipment effectively
  • Assist in the continuous development of the workshop’s technical capabilities
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and customer satisfaction
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Diagnostic Technician or similar role
  • Strong skills in engine dismantling and diagnostic procedures
  • Experience with engine repairs and other heavy mechanics
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to quality work
  • Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance NVQ or equivalent
