We are currently recruiting for a motivated and skilled MOT Tester to join a reputable automotive workshop in Southend, Essex. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced MOT Tester looking to work with a well-established team in a busy, customer-focused environment.

Benefits:
  • Basic salary of £32,000 per year with a realistic OTE of up to £45,000
  • Monday to Friday working hours from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm, with no weekends
  • Bonus scheme based on efficiency, with performance incentivising extra earnings
  • Additional pay of £12.50 per hour for every hour over 8 hours sold per day
  • Opportunity to increase earnings through daily MOT targets and bonus payments
Duties:
  • Carrying out MOT testing in accordance with VOSA standards and regulations
  • Conducting vehicle inspections and diagnostic assessments
  • Ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Maintaining detailed records of all inspections and repairs
  • Providing excellent customer service and clear communication regarding vehicle condition
  • Managing a busy daily workload efficiently to hit MOT targets and maximise bonus potential
Requirements:
  • A recognised MOT Tester qualification (NVQ L3 or equivalent)
  • Valid MOT testing licence issued by VOSA
  • Proven experience as an MOT Tester within a dealership or independent garage
  • Strong understanding of vehicle diagnostics and repair procedures
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work efficiently within a team and independently
