Workshop Parts Administrator Opportunity
  • Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 per annum, dependent on experience
  • Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
  • Department: Parts – Internal Workshop Supply
Workshop Parts Administrator Required Our client, a well-established franchised commercial vehicle dealership representing several leading manufacturers, is looking to recruit an experienced Workshop Parts Administrator to join its busy Parts Department. This is an internal workshop support position focused entirely on sourcing, preparing and supplying parts to the company’s technicians. It is not a customer-facing or external trade parts sales role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately input and process parts invoices.
  • Identify and locate parts using manufacturer parts catalogues.
  • Ensure additional one-use components, such as seals, gaskets and clips, are ordered for repair work.
  • Monitor and manage stock levels across multiple manufacturer brands.
  • Prepare and pick parts for work-in-progress quotations and warranty repairs.
  • Manage surcharge returns and warranty parts returns in line with manufacturer procedures.
  • Liaise closely with technicians and the Workshop or Service Manager.
  • Maintain accurate parts, stock and invoice records.
  • Support the Parts Department with general administration duties.
Skills and Experience Required: 
  • Previous experience within an automotive Parts Department or a similar role involving detailed vehicle component knowledge.
  • Experience using manufacturer parts catalogues and identifying correct part numbers.
  • Knowledge of commercial vehicles or light commercial vehicles would be advantageous.
  • Experience using a Dealer Management System such as Keyloop, CDK, Kerridge or a similar platform is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organisational and workload management skills.
  • The ability to work effectively within a busy workshop environment.
  • A positive and professional approach to working with technicians, managers and the wider Parts team.
