Night Shift HGV Technician required in Andover.
  • SALARY: Between £18.50-21.50 per hour pending experience plus a bonus scheme, shift allowance of £30 per night, and overtime availability, paid at 1.4X.
  • HOURS: 45-hour week, with late shift patterns 10:00pm - 7:30am Monday to Friday 
  • BENEFITS: 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, life assurance, pension scheme, and brand training, amongst others.
Our client, one of the UK's largest automotive dealer groups, is currently looking to recruit a Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV)/Van Technician for their franchise-approved commercial vehicle dealership located in Andover. 

Reporting to the Workshop Manager and working as part of a team, your key objectives will include:
  • Carry out servicing and maintenance of all HGVs across our client's range.
  • Electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic fault diagnosis and repair; this work may include warranty-approved work in line with brand parameters.
  • Department of Transport (MOT) testing duties (if qualified).
  • Completing job cards and electronic write-ups on franchise platforms.
  • Completion of electronic vehicle health checks (eVHCs).
  • Support Apprentice Technicians as required.
To be eligible, you will need to be qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, and ideally have several years' experience beyond your qualification. Overall, you will need to be a committed individual and a good team player. You must be able to produce high-quality work in a busy workshop environment and be motivated to work towards targets set for your team.
