Duties:
  • Lead, support, and motivate the Parts team to deliver outstanding service and operational efficiency
  • Manage the daily operations of the Parts Department to ensure quick parts supply and minimise vehicle downtime
  • Oversee parts procurement, stock management, and inventory control to maintain optimal levels
  • Ensure accurate processing of stock receipts, returns, and documentation in line with company standards
  • Develop strong working relationships with workshop, sales, and service teams to enhance operational flow
  • Monitor departmental performance and implement strategies to improve profitability and service quality
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training of team members
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and maintain a high standard of department housekeeping
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues professionally to uphold the company's reputation
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Parts Advisor or similar role within a commercial vehicle or motor dealership
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of parts ordering, inventory management, and stock control systems
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Commercial awareness and ability to support departmental performance
  • Competent IT skills; experience with Kerridge/Keyloop is desirable
  • A full UK Driving Licence is essential
  • Experience with manufacturer warranty processes is advantageous but not essential
